Can Winters wear warm colours at all?

That said, you can absolutely wear small amounts of warm colour further down the body — a warm-toned boot, a patterned skirt that contains some warmth, a bag. The rule is distance. The further a warm colour sits from your face, the less it affects how your skin reads. For anything worn around your neckline, stick to your cool, clear palette.

Not really, and I'll be honest with you here. Warm beige sits at the exact opposite end of the colour wheel from where you shine — it's warm, muted, and soft, and you're cool, clear, and vivid. On a Winter, beige tends to look like the colour is wearing *you* rather than the other way round. If you need a soft, light neutral that isn't pure white, reach for cool taupe or cool grey instead. Both will give you that gentle, quieter feeling without dulling your face. Save the beige trench for your Autumn friend — she'll look glorious in it.

Gold is a warm metal, and silver, white gold, and platinum are your natural matches. The trick is not to go head-to-toe in warm gold against your skin. Cool-tone metals should be your default. Those are likely to be the most flattering colours you'll ever wear. If you've been put off jewel tones in the past, try one again — a true, clean version, worn right under your chin.
